New Playstation Portable Preview

Sony has more than a PlayStation 3 on its sights. A newer model of the PlayStation Portable is on its way. As we all knew from E3 2007, this version of the PSP is 33 % lighter than the original PSP. Furthermore, there will be a video output for enabling your PSP to be viewed on a television. The PSP is expected to have an original USB port for charging, a smaller battery, and a reduced battery consumption. It will come in black, white, and ice silver. There will also be a PSP with Darth Vader’s face on the side. You can customize your PSP any way you want. If you want an ice silver PSP with a Darth Vader picture, you can do that (this is the PSP that I will be purchasing). There is still no sign of an analog stick with this edition of the PSP, so gamers will have to suffer the consequences of struggling with some games. The new PSP is slated to be released on September 10, 2007.

Playstation Portable - Unique Features And Capabilities

If you read the name PlayStation Portable, you understand immediately that this game console is easy to carry, designed for maximum portability. Launched in 2004, on May 11th, the PlayStation Portable is made by Sony, one of the major players when it comes to game consoles and games. Since the launch, this small portable console has convinced a lot of players of its unique advantages.

The PSP works with the help of optical discs, which you use to play games. Besides playing games, you can do a number of other things with the help of the PSP. One of the best features of the PlayStation Portable, which you don’t find in other game consoles, is the multitasking ability. The latest version launched by Sony is called Lite, or Slim, and it’s clearly a better gaming console than the previous model. It comes in a number of different shades of color (Star wars imprint, silver, or piano black color) and its portability has increased.

There are a number of advantages when using a Sony PSP instead of another model. For example, you only carry the PSP, instead of hauling along an MP3 player as well. The quality of the music played by the PSP is good enough to allow you to skip owning an MP3 player. Also, its gaming capabilities are great, with many awards and huge sales to prove it.

You have the option of choosing from many games, since Sony launched over 350 titles designed specifically for the PSP. You can choose an exotic sport or an adventure game, and play it easily wherever you are, as long as you have your PSP with you.

Another interesting option is the ability to watch movies on a PSP. You can choose from over 450 different movies, music videos and TV programs. All these come on UMD discs, which the Sony PSP can play. This means that when you’re moving, you can easily carry all your favorite movies with you, and watch them even when you’re in vacation.

As for the music, you can play WAV, MP3, MP4, WMA and other types of media files. An interesting feature is the ability to make slide shows which can be shared over WiFi with friends. You can also browse the Internet with the help of this handy game console.

Using Fat Pandora Battery to Unbrick PSP

It is a modified battery for the Sony Playstation Portable. It allows a bricked or working official-firmware PSP to have access to view and run the programs installed on the magic memory stick. When it is used, the user immediately sees a list of options that are running off the magic memory stick. Both the Pandora’s battery and the magic memory stick are, therefore essential in what is technically know as unbricking a PSP. That is installing custom firmware on a PSP.

The advantage is that after you have used the Pandora’s Battery and the Magic Memory Stick Combo to unbrick your PSP, the battery and stick are reusable on an unlimited amount of PSPs. It is therefore very possible to continuously reuse the Pandora’s battery on any number of PSPs.

It is essential to keep the Pandora Battery

 Pandora’s Battery decently charged but take caution that it is not overcharged because in the process the battery loses its battery meter. Essentially, after the battery loses all its charge, charge it for a couple of hours after which you have to manually stop charging it. Any continuous amount of charging will cause the battery to malfunction. When one acquires a Pandora’s Battery, it normally is fully charged.

It is also possible to make a Pandora’s Battery on a fat PSP and then downgrade a slim PSP with it. Actually, this may be the easiest way of doing it. You can make a Pandora’s from a FAT- Battery using a FAT-PSP, what is commonly known as a fat Pandora’s Battery. However, do not use a FAT-PSP with a SLIM-Battery, to make a normal Pandora’s Battery. Although this may be possible, it is yet to be proven not to have adverse effects on either the battery or the PSP or both.

As of the time being, current Pandora batteries are incompatible with the new PSP motherboards.

New Playstation Portable Review

After Sony promoted a newer version of the PlayStation Portable at E3 2007, the new PSP is finally available. For starters, it is significantly more durable than the original PSP. This was an enormous flaw with the initial PSP. If you did something as innocuous as exhale on the previous PSP, you would probably be asking Sony for a refund. Luckily, the lack of durability has been rectified with the newer version. Dropping the PSP on the ground will not result in a malfunction. I am not advocating throwing a brand new PSP into a minefield to test its toughness, but it is definitely more sturdy than the first PSP. The analog stick now has better responsiveness. A welcome addition is that the speakers and wi-fi switch are now moved to the top of the PSP. You can charge the PSP via a USB port. The Ram has been doubled; this makes load times immensely faster. There is also a much lighter and energy efficient battery that is 1200 amps. The original PSP has 2200 amps. The new PSP is 33 % lighter and 19 % slimmer than the original PSP, and it is much more user friendly. Another alteration to the PSP how it feels in your hands. There is a glistening chrome texture that makes it feel more extravagant. This definitely goes a long way, as this design reduces hand fatigue. Gamers will also notice a UMD button that allows you to open and close the UMD tray. The battery life is more than double what it used to be; moreover, the new PSP can run up to six hours without any difficulty. In addition, there is a headphone jack that is usable for headphones. My favorite feature with the PSP has to be the 480 i and 480 p video and audio output. This lets players enjoy PSP games and movies on their television! It is possible to see PSP games and movies in HD; provided, people have a high definition television. As incredible as the PSP is, it is not without its faults. One thing that comes to mind is the directional pad. It can get marginally slippery (especially if you have sweaty fingers) after playing for several hours straight. Something else that really irked me was the UMD slot. I found the UMD tray to be somewhat bothersome, and it is time consuming to put a UMD in the PSP. It appeared like Sony did not put much thought into implementing it. Overall, the PSP is more aesthetically pleasing than when the PSP first made its debut. The new PSP is more than just a pretty face. If people can overlook the fairly insignificant mishaps with the PSP, they will have an amusing gaming experience. Unlike the Apple iPhone, the new PSP has both style and substance.
