You've been struggling with weight for years. You've had dozens, if not hundreds, of diets started with great intentions but abandoned after sometimes only a couple of days. Even the attempts that lasted several weeks or even months which appeared to be unstoppable fizzled out and ended in failure.

Let's face it, teaching you how to eat right and exercise is not rocket science. It doesn't take months to learn how to lift some weights and run on a treadmill. Where the biggest value of a weight loss coach lies is in helping you deal with the internal obstacles that arise along the way. The reason why people quit on weight loss attempts is because of the mental/emotional issues that are entwined with weight. One of the biggest mistakes dieters make is to ignore this fact. An effective weight loss coach must be able to help you identify the ways in which your thinking is stopping you from losing weight.
What I'm talking about goes way beyond simple motivation. A coach or trainer that can motivate you is great but it won't be sufficient to keep you going when you run up against the internal emotional pressure that will hit you as you progress in your weight loss journey. Your coach must be able to see what the real problem is and help you address it so you can grow past it and move to the next level.
Making a significant lifestyle change stick requires not just a change in outward habits but an internal change as well. The internal change required is challenging but very doable if you have someone who can walk you through it. When considering what weight loss coach to work with, find out if they focus on this area and if they do, you've probably found yourself a winner.
