Variations of PSP

One of the most popular hand held gaming console today is Sony's PSP (PlayStation Portable).

have cited that PSP, along with Nintendo DS, is one of their most in-demand piece of electronic. Among of the reasons why PSP is popular is because of its multi-tasking capabilities such as its principal use as a gaming console, movie selection, telecommunications capability, and upcoming GPS functionality. Since its release, several models and accessories has also been sold along with the console. Here are several notable variations of PSP.
Retail Configurations
PSP was sold in two main configurations that differ in terms of accessories. These are the Base Pack or Core Pack and Value pack.

Base Pack or Core Pack contains the console, a battery, and an AC adapter. This version was available at launch in Japan and was later released in North America and Europe.
The Value Pack includes everything in the Base Pack as well as a 32 MB Memory Stick Pro Duo, headphones with remote control, a carrying pouch, and a wrist strap. Some regions have modified versions of this pack that include different accessories.

Colors
Currently, PSP is available with a wide variety of colors. These include, piano black, ceramic white, ice silver, rose pink, deep red, champagne gold, felicia blue, mint green, lavender purple, and metallic blue. According to

, only the piano black model is available in all regions. The ice silver, ceramic white, and deep red versions are available as stand-alone models in Asia. The rose pink, champagne gold, felicia blue, and lavender purple versions are only available in Asia and the mint green model is exclusive to Japan.The metallic blue color had been discontinued, but was made available again in North America as part of the Madden NFL 09 entertainment pack. Several PSP game inspired themes have also been released such as the Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops camouflage PSP. It has been recently announced that Asia will get another four new colours; Vibrant Blue, Radiant Red, Bright Yellow and Spirited Green, in March of 2009, under the release monkier of "Carnival Colors".
PSP Slim and Lite
At E3 2007, Sony announced that a new version of the PSP would be released in September 2007, for all regions. The redesigned PSP is 33% lighter and 19% thinner than the original PSP. The redesign also features composite TV output, supports charging via USB, double the onboard RAM (32 MB to 64 MB), and has a brighter screen.
PSP 3000
On August 20, 2008, a revised PSP design, model 3000, was announced at a press conference in Leipzig. Based on the Slim & Lite, the PSP-3000 features an improved LCD screen, a built-in microphone, oval shaped start and select buttons and an expanded video-out. The LCD screen features a higher contrast ratio, shorter response time, and wider color gamut, as well as anti-reflective technology for improved visibility in well-lit environments. According to

Using Fat Pandora Battery to Unbrick PSP

It is a modified battery for the Sony Playstation Portable. It allows a bricked or working official-firmware PSP to have access to view and run the programs installed on the magic memory stick. When it is used, the user immediately sees a list of options that are running off the magic memory stick. Both the Pandoraâ€™s battery and the magic memory stick are, therefore essential in what is technically know as unbricking a PSP. That is installing custom firmware on a PSP.

The advantage is that after you have used the Pandoraâ€™s Battery and the Magic Memory Stick Combo to unbrick your PSP, the battery and stick are reusable on an unlimited amount of PSPs. It is therefore very possible to continuously reuse the Pandoraâ€™s battery on any number of PSPs.

It is essential to keep the Pandora Battery

Â Pandoraâ€™s Battery decently charged but take caution that it is not overcharged because in the process the battery loses its battery meter. Essentially, after the battery loses all its charge, charge it for a couple of hours after which you have to manually stop charging it. Any continuous amount of charging will cause the battery to malfunction. When one acquires a Pandoraâ€™s Battery, it normally is fully charged.

It is also possible to make a Pandoraâ€™s Battery on a fat PSP and then downgrade a slim PSP with it. Actually, this may be the easiest way of doing it. You can make a Pandoraâ€™s from a FAT- Battery using a FAT-PSP, what is commonly known as a fat Pandoraâ€™s Battery. However, do not use a FAT-PSP with a SLIM-Battery, to make a normal Pandoraâ€™s Battery. Although this may be possible, it is yet to be proven not to have adverse effects on either the battery or the PSP or both.

As of the time being, current Pandora batteries are incompatible with the new PSP motherboards.

How to Copy DVD to PSP (PSP hack 3000/PSP slim 2000/PSP go)

This article is about how to Rip DVD and Copy DVD Movies to your PSP hack 3000, PSP slim 2000 or the new PSP go. As a crazy PSP fans, I am hot for Ripping any DVD including commercial DVDs and put DVDs to my PSP 3000 for watching, it's cool. So, here I want to share my method to help you Copy DVD to PSP fast and perfectly.

Reading enriches the mind, first of all, introduce some knowledge about Sony PSP. The PlayStation Portable (officially abbreviated PSP) is a handheld game console manufactured and marketed by Sony Computer Entertainment. The PlayStation Portable is the first handheld video game console to use an optical disc format, Universal Media Disc (UMD), as its primary storage medium. Other distinguishing features of the console include its large viewing screen, robust multi-media capabilities, and connectivity with the PlayStation 3, other PSPs, and the Internet. As a media device, PSP supported video format: MP4, MPEG4, H.264/PSP AVC Video. Audio format: MP3, WMA.

How to rip DVD and Copy DVD Movies to PSP ?

Had mentioned above, PSP supported video format: MP4, MPEG4, H.264/PSP AVC Video. So, if you wanna put DVDs to PSP, you have to convert DVDs to PSP-friendly format. For ordinary DVDs, there are some DVD Ripper software can get it right. But Commercial DVDs are generally encrypted. In order to copy DVD to PSP, you'd need to break that encryption, which can be done by Daniusoft DVD Ripper software. It is fast and easy-to-use PSP DVD converter software, which has professional performance in ripping DVD to PSP video.

Step1. Download Daniusoft DVD Ripping software, install and launch it.

Step2. Rip your DVDs and Convert to PSP-friendly format.
In Daniusoft DVD Ripper, Click "Add" button, you are allowed to import DVD from local disk or CD-Rom , you are allowed to load DVD Rom, DVD folders, ISO files and IFO files respectively.
Then Click the pull-download menu in the "Convert to:" option to select the output as PSP-friendly format.
Then click Start and let Daniusoft DVD Ripper do its thing.

Step3. Copy DVD to PSP
Copying your movie file over to your PSP to view! Just open PSP Video and click the Copy tab. Make sure your PSP is connected to your PC via USB cable! and then just click the movie file, and Copy to PSP.

Tip: If you aren't satisfied with the DVD Movie, you can crop/trim/merge/adjust the DVD Movie by the button "Edit" for better.
